Armenia Things To Do In Winter Expat Experience

"Travel Goals"

I learned a lot of things about my travel to Armenia. It is not only for leisure but the things I discovered that will remind me of this wondrous place.

"Discover Something New, Share it with the World"

This is my second blog about my trip to Armenia.

I was not prepared. I underestimated how cold the weather in Armenia.
I did not bring any thick jackets that will suffice the harsh weather.

But thankfully, the driver of the tourist agency provided me a jacket-for- rent.

8 in the morning. After breakfast at the hotel. Our tour guide met us in the lobby.
She discusses what and where are the places that we're going to visit.

"ROAD SHOWS"

Our first visit was the Garni Temple -A Unesco World Heritage site. It took us about an hour to get there.

While killing the time. I took the opportunity to take some pictures while inside the car.

As a Filipino living in a tropical country. We never experience winter at all. Although we experience some chill temperatures below 24 degrees during twilight and during midnight.

I ever wonder. How do Armenians manage to do there errands during this period?
Trust me. It is cold outside. Snow is falling and you need to get up in the morning and go to work.

Water is cold on the faucet. (Good thing- Water heater is available) I even manage to take a bath in the morning despite the freezing temperature. I cant stay longer than 3 mins (lol).

Here are some of the pictures I took:

And finally... Here it is:

"Garni Temple, Armenia"

The Temple of Garni is an Ionic-colonnaded temple in Garni, Armenia. It is the best-known structure and symbol of pre-Christian Armenia. It is the only standing Greco-Roman colonnaded building in Armenia and the former Soviet Union. Wikipedia
Its my first time to see such an amazing temple. I feel like I traveled back time. The Temple itself and the pure pitch white snowy mountain.
Superb view indeed.

Travel back to the ancient time :)

After visiting the temple. The tour guide offers us to drink an Armenian Coffee. To suffice the cold weather.

Then we go back to the City to visit some of the famous landmarks of YerevanThe Cafesjian Museum of Art.
